Mount Shasta Serpentine Alchemy™ takes its name from Mount Shasta in Northern California, a landscape long associated with wilderness, pilgrimage and spiritual practice.
This Crystal Tones® Mount Shasta Serpentine Alchemy™ Crystal Singing Bowl is an 8-inch F +15 bowl with a warm, grounded voice and a steady mid-range presence.
Serpentine has a long history of symbolic and energetic association with transformation, protection, resilience and spiritual growth. Within contemporary crystal and sound practices, it is also sometimes connected with kundalini traditions and the heart centre. We offer these associations as part of the symbolic language practitioners may choose to work with, rather than as fixed effects of the bowl itself.
Musically, the F tone gives this bowl a centred and versatile role. Its register allows it to sit comfortably within a wider harmonic landscape, whether used as a standalone instrument or introduced into an existing collection.
This bowl has formerly been a key note in our Enchanted Forest harmonised set, where its F voice creates the distinctive tonal relationship between the bowls.
If you would like help understanding how this bowl may relate to instruments you already own, we are happy to advise on note, octave, cent position and harmonic compatibility.
